1-Hour Merzouga ATV Desert Excursion

For travellers short on time but craving one genuinely thrilling hour in the Sahara, our driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Merzouga village and transfer you a short distance to our quad bike base at the edge of the dune field. After a safety briefing and equipment check — helmets are provided and required, and no prior riding experience is necessary, as your guide will explain the basics of quad bike control before we set off — we head out in a small convoy led by an experienced local guide who knows the safest and most scenic routes through this stretch of red desert terrain. The hour-long route winds across rolling sand tracks and around the base of the dunes, offering a genuine adrenaline hit as you navigate dips, ridges, and open stretches where you can pick up speed, interspersed with a couple of stops at scenic viewpoints for photographs with the golden Erg Chebbi dunes as a backdrop.
